Sleep Success Story: Time-strapped Parents Rejoice: Joanna's Sleep Coaching Strengthens Family Bonds And Unlocks Quality Time.

Perhaps you've been there, nights blending into days, the exhaustion seeping into every moment, and the worry gnawing at your heart.

Maybe you've scoured books, forums, and advice columns, hoping for that one solution that feels right.

You understand the deep desire to nurture your child's growth while navigating the complexities of sleep struggles.

Parenthood can be a whirlwind of emotions, filled with love beyond measure and challenges that test your resolve. Let me tell you about the incredible journey of this amazing family.

Before they found me, life was a constant battle with sleepless nights, exhausting routines, and the struggle of parenting felt overwhelming. When they reached out, they were at their wit's end, trying everything but finding no relief.

What truly touched my heart was their unwavering commitment to their child's well-being and their desire to preserve their strong emotional bond. They chose a path that felt right for them, and after working together, the transformation was profound.

Bedtime became a peaceful ritual, boundaries were set with love, and their son blossomed into a happy, expressive child. I was moved by their dedication to learning and growing as parents, and the trust they placed in me to guide them.

It’s not just about sleep; it's about the strength of family, the joy of connection, and the empowerment of finding what works uniquely for your child.

If you've ever felt lost in the sea of sleep advice, or if you're seeking a customized approach that truly fits your family, I invite you to watch this heartfelt journey. It's a testament to the power of understanding, compassion, and the beauty of a well-rested family. Watch now and see the incredible transformation for yourself.

Samantha and Neel want everyone to know:

“Being a parent means you are guiding your child through life. But the reality is…sometimes “the guide” needs “A GUIDE” and it's nice to have someone who's well-versed in child development and what is most appropriate. With Joanna, it was a priority every single meeting to know how we were feeling and our perspective on the learning process for both parents. Joanna was making sure me and my husband were always on the same page and agreeing to each step and that we felt good about the process.

If families are worried that sleep coaching is going to jeopardize any attachment- NOT THIS METHOD WORKING WITH JOANNA. It's made us come together stronger and it's made me understand my role and what's most effective. Our emotional attachment to our son is even stronger now. Working with Joanna is so worth it. You're never alone in doing it, I consider Joanna part of our village.

For those you, who have tried sleep training with no success- we definitely went through that and we realized we needed customization. YouTube videos and books might work for 50% or 70% of other kids,  but it might not work for you. Joanna really customized our sleep coaching journey to exactly what we were dealing with and that was key for us. I had done so much research and read so much about sleep and every method, but nothing was really working. I was always against cry-it-out. I considered it, but there was something inside my heart, that just would not let me do that and I had to go with my own intuition. I wanted to honor our parent-child relationship, keep our emotional connection alive, respect my child and make sure he knows he's loved. I didn't want something to come in and jeopardize our attachment or our communication with our child. We talked to our pediatrician about the sleep struggles and she recommended Joanna.

After sleep coaching, 7pm bedtime is so smooth. We have such healthy, strong boundaries and our son understands them. He's happy to read his books, he understands what's going to happen next and moves on easily to the next step of the bedtime routine. He is way happier and enjoys what he's doing so much. The time we spend together now is actually QUALITY TIME. We're doing bike rides, we're learning things. We're enjoying the day. He's learning so much. Our son had his speech delay and after sleep coaching, he had this burst of vocabulary. He can talk and it's understandable. Because he is now so well-rested and speaking well, we felt comfortable in starting preschool. There's more time for everything with a happy, rested child. I'm working out again. Dad learned a lot about being consistent and being on the same page with our co-parenting.

The thing I liked most about working with Joanna was that we both learned so much through this journey about our son, about ourselves, what kind of parents we are and what kind of parents we want to be. All the detective work that Joanna did was so impressive and I know no other sleep coach would've been so thorough and dedicated to our success.

In this “Get Your Life Back.... It Starts with Sleep” coaching session, I go back to basics and explain why sleep is so foundational.

If your poor sleep is due to your child not sleeping well, this can be easily solved with my signature process of guilt-free,  Gentle Sleep Coaching!

Happy WO3 Day!

In honor of WO3 2024, I am delighted to partner, promote, and support  Kathryn Tipton and Christen Sistrunk, Therapists from the Houston Center for Valued Living, I am delighted to spotlight their incredible work

March is not only Women's History Month but also a time to embrace the spirit of empowerment through WO3 Day, scheduled for March 30, 2024. WO3, a grassroots movement close to my heart, champions woman-owned businesses by fostering partnerships, promoting them, and offering unwavering support throughout March.

As a proud member of the Executive Board, I am passionate about celebrating and amplifying the remarkable contributions of women entrepreneurs. Our vision is for WO3 to grow into a movement as impactful as "Small Business Saturday," where supporting a small women-led business becomes second nature—a simple act of leaving a review, sharing a blog post, or sending referrals. It's intentional, it's impactful, and it requires no financial commitment.

For my part in this movement, I aim to spotlight incredible women-led businesses that extend their support to mothers and families. It's time to illuminate small, women-owned enterprises making a profound impact, all while infusing their work with tremendous heart!

I invite each and every one of you to join the WO3 2024 movement. There are numerous ways to show your support that seamlessly align with your lifestyle and budget. No money is required to become a partner, promoter, and supporter of your favorite women-owned business.

I recently interviewed two remarkable therapists, Kathryn and Christen, from the Houston Center for Valued Living whose boutique psychotherapy and counseling agency offers a sanctuary for healing, guided by compassion and expertise. Kathryn specializes in perinatal mental health, supporting moms through infertility, pregnancy, and postpartum mood disorders. Christen focuses on anxiety disorders, including OCD, offering help to individuals and families.

In this interview we discussed:

  • The challenges faced by mothers with postpartum mood disorders and families dealing with anxiety, emphasizing the importance of support and reliable information.

  • Their practice's unique programs, such as intensive concierge services, support groups for postpartum moms and OCD sufferers, and specialized training for parents of anxious children.

  • Insights on anxiety, its spectrum of manifestations, and its impact on individuals and families.

  • Resources like Postpartum Support International and the Anxiety and Depression Association of America for those seeking help

  • Anxiety- what’s normal and what’s not normal

  • Trauma- difficult birth pregnancy, or loss, “when is the next bad thing going to happen”

This interview shed light on the invaluable work these therapists do, providing essential mental health support for families.

If you are struggling, reach out to someone. There are many passionate providers willing and able to help. With treatment it gets better, this is not something you have to deal with for the rest of your life.

As a proud member of the Executive Board, I am fueled by a mission to celebrate and magnify the indomitable spirit of women entrepreneurs. Imagine a world where supporting a small, women-led business becomes as inherent as Small Business Saturday—a simple yet impactful gesture that demands no financial investment but holds immeasurable significance.

This WO3 season, my focus is on spotlighting exceptional women-led businesses that not only excel in their endeavors,  but also extend their reach to support mothers and families, all while infusing their work with an abundance of passion.

I had the pleasure of interview with Sarah Davis from 'Olive You Nanny,' a nationwide boutique nanny agency. We're thrilled to partner, promote and support Sarah, a female entrepreneur making waves in the world of childcare.

Sarah shared her inspiring journey from starting as a nanny herself to creating a thriving business dedicated to connecting families with exceptional caregivers. What sets 'Olive You Nanny' apart is their deeply personal approach.

Sarah, with 25 years of experience, emphasizes the importance of understanding each family's unique dynamics, matching personalities, and ensuring a harmonious fit. She's a true people reader and matchmaker, ensuring both families and nannies thrive.

Sarah also highlighted crucial tips for first-time parents, especially in today's changing landscape post-COVID, where finding quality caregivers is more crucial than ever. With 'Olive You Nanny,' families receive a “hand-holding” experience from start to finish, with Sarah guiding them through the entire process. She doesn't just hand over resumes; instead, she curates personalized matches and offers a replacement guarantee to ease any worries.

Beyond her incredible work, Sarah also shared her exciting 'Ask the Expert' You Tube series, bringing insights from industry professionals and nannies themselves.

It was a pleasure learning from Sarah, and I encourage everyone to check out the interview with Olive You Nanny' for their childcare needs.
