The research suggests that after a baby is over 6 months of age and/or rolling both directions are at a more optimal developmental time to learn their sleep skills. When they are rolling and closer to 6 months, babies have more mobility and demonstrate more sleep cues and have the hormone balancing to sleep longer cycles. For babies ages 0-5 months (newborn phase), it is typically recommended to wait on sleep training until the child is over 6 months of age. Newborn Education and gentle sleep shaping is more appropriate during the newborn phase.
Most nighttime sleep problems can be resolved in 2-4 weeks. However, most families see immediate improvement in the first 5 nights of implementing the sleep plan. It is always recommended to night train first and then move onto nap training.

Absolutely! All Gentle Sleep Coaching Plans include information on how to protect and maintain the nursing relationship and breast milk supply. Whether breast or bottle, we can wean middle-of-night feeds gently and compassionately based on the goals of the family.

I work with children ages 0 to 6 years old. Under certain circumstances, I do work with older children from 6-10 years of age. It is best to book a Sleep Strategy Session first so I can do a proper evaluation and assessment of the sleep behavior and determine if Gentle Sleep Coaching at your child’s age and stage is the right first step. Have hope. Because sleep is a learned skill, it's never too late to teach your child healthy habits.
Your newborn doesn’t need sleep training. All the way up until 3-4 months old, the best thing for your baby is to eat, sleep whenever they want, or enjoy all the snuggles. We recommend starting with sleep shaping, which is not sleep coaching. I offer Newborn Education with suggestions for sleep shaping at each stage through the newborn phase (0-6 months).
Yes, usually if a child has 100% learned sleep skills for bedtime and middle of the night, it is possible to help them use those same skills for naps. The first step is for me to do a proper assessment to guide you further. Booking a Sleep Strategy Session is your next step.

Yes! Waking up between 4-6am is considered early rising and can absolutely be corrected through sleep coaching.
